Deepwater Horizon Oil Rig Explosion

Last week, the Deepwater Horizon oil rig, operated by BP, sank to the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico after an explosion which subsequently released a massive amount of oil into the Gulf’s waters threatening not only sea life, but tourism and industry for at least four states.

Global Warming Could Put an End to Earthquakes

Recent studies show global warming could eventually halt the driving force behind the occurrence of most of the world’s earthquakes. Given the tremendous damage and loss of life as a result of the recent quakes in Haiti, Chile, and China, could this be a shiny glimpse of light on the otherwise tarnished reputation of climate change?
